Our History
Founded in 2014, the of Iran BioScience Societies (FIrBS) was originally discussed in Iran society of biophysical chemistry (ISOBC) then created by the collaboration of eight scientific societies from both of Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT) and Ministry of Health and Medical Education (MOHME) to advance synergistic collaborations among bioscience and Medical societies in the interdisciplinary fields. The founder societies are as follows:
Biosafety Society of Iran
Iran Society of Biophysical Chemistry (ISOBC)
Iranian genetics society
Iranian Biotechnology Society
Biochemical Society of Islamic Republic of Iran
Iranian Biology Society
Iranian Proteomics Society (IPS)
Iranian Society of Physiology and Pharmacology (ISPP)
What started as a small group of dedicated societies is targeted to be the nation’s largest coalition of biological and biomedical researchers, representing scientific societies from around the world. We hope FIrBS can be recognized as the voice of biological and biomedical researchers.
