FIrBS 13th Board Meeting: Focus on Aging and International Collaborations

The 13th meeting of the third Board of Directors of The Federation of Iran BioScience Societies (FIrBS) was held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 (Mordad 7, 1405). The session, attended by board members, scientific representatives, and colleagues, took place at the office of the Iranian Tissue and Cell Culture Society.
Organized within the framework of a joint collaboration between FIrBS and the Iranian Biology Society, the meeting primarily focused on two main agenda items: the working group on aging and the development of international collaborations.
During the discussions on aging, participants emphasized the necessity of strengthening scientific, interdisciplinary, and problem-oriented approaches. The board also highlighted the importance of utilizing the capacities of member societies to design and implement applied research programs.
Furthermore, in the section concerning international collaborations, the existing potential for expanding scientific interactions, knowledge exchange, and leveraging credible international experiences and frameworks was brought to attention.
This meeting aimed to enhance coordination among scientific societies, create synergy among specialized capacities, and move toward more cohesive planning in the field of biological sciences.
